What is the secret in life?

“What is the secret in life?”

That is the BIG question to ask, isn´t it?

We can go through our entire life asking this question. “What is the Secret in life?”

Or, maybe we don´t ask so often. Cause we have no time to ask. We are to busy spending the most of our
time just to manage to  survive. Hanging in there. Get our kids to kindergarten, go to work,  go to the grocery shop, pay bills….. All is about getting enough money to survive. The time spent on this, mostly to fulfill someone else’s dream, leads to nothing else but more things, lack of time to spend with the family and a lot of guilt.

Guilt for not being present when life actually is passing by.

Guily for not spending enough time with the kids. Or to be able to travel all the places you would like to go.

So, What is the SECRET in life?

How does some people here on the Planet manage to live the life they dream of? How do they manage to get an income so they can do whatever they want to do, and go where ever they want to go when they want to go?

ONE of the answers to that question is:

They know that they are capable to achieve any goal they set. They know that any person can have what ever he or she want to have if they apply the right thinking. They know that they are in charge of their own life and that they can get out of life whatever they want to.

And so can you?

The question is, Do YOU have the Self esteem Needed to reach your dreams? It does´t depend on the dream. Cause they can vary but you need to apply this.

And now when you know the answer to What is the secret in life, it is just to find a goal, and then achieve a high amount of Self esteem and FLY HIGH!

Looking for any great book with the content for raising your self Esteem, I can recommend this one:

Self Esteem Bok

  1. This was a great article, which got me thinking lol. “We are to busy spending the most of our time just to manage to survive”, that was my favorite quote because it is so true. I will definitely check your site out more.

Thanks a LOT for your feedback.
Yes, it is important to take the time to live, while we live.
Time goes by so fast, and we, and only we, are responsible to use that time in a best way for ourself.
      Take care, and live fully!
      Linda 🙂

  2. Self Esteem is so important! I think another important point about self esteem it having the drive to achieve all your goals, but even when you don’t reach one of your goals, instead of beating yourself up you get back up and say you’ll try even harder next time. I set lots of goals and most of the time I achieve what I set out to do but sometimes I set goals to high and I just tell myself to do better next time. The important part I think is always trying your best and setting goals in the first place. Thanks for this post it was good reminder! 🙂

    • Linda

      Thanks, Will!
Yes, Self Esteem is important. Many focus on the self confident, but how you really think about yourself, your self esteem, is what determine where you will end up.
And it is right, we do not always end up at the high goal point, but, it is important to have fun on the way to achieve any goal, and also not to beat yourself up, when ending up somewhere else then planned.
It is like going on a hiking tour. Sometimes we get lost, but had a lot of fun. 😉
Be good as the one you are, and improve all the time. Now your goal, and have fun!
      All the best, Linda 🙂

  3. Hi Linda. I like the idea of the secret being found in our Self Esteem. Thank you for it not being the popular book “The Secret” filled with a bunch of platitudes we’ve all known, read and heard. But this did make me feel a little down if I didn’t have self esteem. But I guess that’s what The Self Esteem Workbook is for.

    • Linda

      Thanks, Rawl!
Yes, I see your point. I will come back with more to also give the ones with lack of self esteem some tips to achieve that. Great comment.
      Linda 🙂

Thanks a LOT for your feedback! I also learned a new word today: effervescent 🙂
Great site you also have. Give me a minute, and I´ll stop by.

  4. Very inspiring post! I’m sure many people will relate to what you said, including me! Time flies and by the time you reach 40 you don’t even know why you’re doing this or that and you feel like you’ve missed something out!
My personal secret of life is this : we all have the key to happiness within ourselves, except most of the time we don’t know that and we are not connected to our inners needs. Being able to listen to the little voice in our heart is a tougher exercice than we think but once you master it, life becomes lighter and better!
    All the best

    • Linda

Thanks a LOT for your Comment.
Yes, I also believe it is all inside of us.
And sometimes we need a little help to get motivated to listen to that voice.
Awesome things can happen when it is done.
All the best to you too.

I’m reminded of the Ferris Bueller movie line – “if you don’t stop and look around once in a while, life will pass you by” (or something similar!) Sometimes we are so busy in our lives that we neglect the important things. Applying the right thinking is really good advice – thank you!

    • Linda

Thanks a lot for your comment!

Yes, the world is constantly turning and so are we. But we have to understand that if we do not have fun on the journey, the journey will end without us having any fun. And what´s the point then?

      All the best!

    Hi Linda
I have to agree I used to also spend to much time racing through life and trying to survive, it was not to I watched a film of the Secret that I realized that it was about the journey and who you become on it, not the destination.
I will check out your recommended book as I love to read motivational material. You can check out my favorites at freedomplan.biz
    Kind Regards

I know from experience it can take a lot of courage to follow your dream. Tragically, many people have been psychologically, emotionally and sometimes physically beaten down. When that happens it is even more difficult to follow your dream.

A big shift for me was when I stopped trying to please people and made my dream a priority. This alone reveal who my true friends were and who were only in my life for what they could get from me.

I think it is essential that we follow our dream, even if there is no hope of ever reaching it, because that pull in our heart is trying to get us to the live the life we were meant to live and to become the person we are meant to be.

    • Linda

Yes, I totally agree with you.

We will always have this voice in our heart. But we of not always listen. Or take the time to listen.

Easy to become a victim for your own life….

Great post by the way, i do like the way you write it is easy for me to understand. you seem to know a great deal anyway.

I like the way you are talking about self esteem but say for someone who has none and no confidence it is almost impossible to get it, how would you suggest we achieve self esteem?

Thank you for sharing this with us, i do appreciate it, I have learned some valuable lessons and no doubt others have to.

    Thank you

    • Linda

Thanks a lot for your comment.

I would suggest you start with the mirrorwork. And also try to write down the things that you are happy for in your life. Things you like about yourself. You have to start focusing on the positiv things about yourself. Ang love the person you are. It may seem like a diffucult thing to do, but you have to love yourself before you allow others to love you. I will cover that in a post next week.

Great job on your website! It is content rich and from the comments, seems to be very useful information. It’s a clear and clean display of the information and the media displays are appropriately set on your various pages and posts. I did not see a privacy policy and about me pages.

    Hi Linda,

How we view ourselves definitely affects all areas of life and can make or break you.

Not only is self-esteem important to make your dreams come true but also determination and perseverance. But without self-esteem it’s hard to be determined and persevere.

And the part about making money to survive is so true for so many people, that’s it’s sad. People waste their lives away worrying so much about acquisition of material wealth that they miss the point of life.

    Thanks for sharing.

  11. Tiffany

I really enjoy books like The Self-Esteem Workbook, because usually the concept is presented and then you’re given room to explore, which is how I think self-esteem is often developed. But I’m very interested in what other ideas about self-esteem are presented.

And, I see this is available on Kindle, too. That’s pretty cool.

    • Linda

      hi, Tiffany.

      Yes, I totally agree.

      I also like the that.

I think it is so important to raise the selfesteem to be able to reach big goals and dreams in life. So important!

Thank you so much for your comment.

Too many things and lack of time to live the life to the fullest, or just be… All that eventually leads to depression. Which is exactly where I am right now, but trying to cope by all means possible. Thanks for this article, self esteem is definitely what I need to work on.

    • Linda

      Dear Marta.

Thank you so much for your reply.

Personally speaking, I became more sure of myself and started believing firmly that I can achieve anything through achieving some major goals that I have wrote down on my bucketlist. At first, I started off by achieving easier, smaller, and short term goals. This gave me confidence to push further to gradually achieve more challenging goals. Then once I achieved some major long term goals, then it was game over. After that I just knew that I can achieve any goals that I have written down no matter what and know exactly what and how to do it.
Based on my personal experience, I think this is one of the best ways to build that certainty.

    • Linda

I am SO happy for you. And you are so right!

For building self confidence. And ofcourse there are many roads that leads to Rome.

Thank you so much for your comment!

Great article on self esteem, I know too well how important having good self esteem is. I never had good self esteem, today my self esteem is much better and I am grateful for that.

The secret in life I feel is different for each person, it all depends on what is your passion in your life. Whatever you desire to do, you need to have good self esteem and confidence in yourself to succceed.

  15. Norman

Hello, it is all about believing in yourself and knowing that you got what it takes to be successful, but the thing is that so many people throw in the towel feeling like success is only for the selected few but if they look at the selected few some of them had a harder time in life than dose who think that they had it easy, the difference is the belief system and not doubting yourself but believing that you got what it takes all that is required is believing in your self along with proper planing and action. Then the rest is history.

  16. Jose Jaramillo

Self esteem certainly is a great secret to getting what we want out of life or achieving greater goals. It is also great to realize that even when we fail at least we tried. There are times in life when we will not achieve certain goals.

This is a wake up call to reinvent our goals. The first step is being able to try and it does require self esteem!

    • Linda

Thanks a lot for your comments.

Yes, a failure is never a failure untill you stop.

Set goals and honor the struggle, is one of my strategies.

And we need to love ourselves to be able to rise the selfesteem to a certain so that we can reach our goal.

    thanks for the post Linda.

it actually reminds me of the book called Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill – have you read it? if not, i think you’ll like it.

well, in the book, he says that he thinks the biggest thing which tends to hold people back is a lack of self-confidence, which is another way of saying a lack of self-esteem. so definitely think you’re on to something here.

    • Linda

Hi, Jarry, and thank you so much for your feedback.

Yes, I know about “Think and grow rich”. I have even supported and put money into the filmmaking of the “Think and grow rich – the legacy”.

A movie that will be released this autumn.

At the moment I work mostly on my online business with teaching people how to get more self-esteem and self-confidence so they are able to sing well. I will pick this page up later, when I go viral in English.

All the best for you too !
